  5.      Greetings:

  7.            Buffalo Creek Software is pleased to announce that we are
  8.      beginning to take upgrade orders for SPITFIRE v3.3.  As usual,
  9.      this upgrade of SPITFIRE is FREE.  While this upgrade is free,
  10.      there is (in certain instances) a minimal shipping & handling
  11.      fee (see below).  SPITFIRE v3.3 is NOT finished and it is not
  12.      ready for release.  We are simply beginning to take orders at
  13.      this time for your convenience.  Please do not leave messages
  14.      asking when it will be released.  It will be released when it is
  15.      completed.

  17.           There are far too many improvements and additions in this
  18.      version of SPITFIRE to list them.  However, there is a file on
  19.      Buffalo Creek's BBS named WHATSNEW.33 which lists the
  20.      improvements and additions.  I would like to quickly mention
  21.      that the new <S>huffle File feature and <L>akota (QWK mail door)
  22.      are just two very nice additions found within SPITFIRE v3.3.

  24.            Please find attached a SPITFIRE upgrade request & order
  25.      form.  You must complete and return the form with the
  26.      appropriate shipping & handling fee (if any) before we will
  27.      process your upgrade order.  All shipping orders will be handled
  28.      in the order in which they are received first and then the
  29.      download orders will be processed in the order in which they are
  30.      received.  NO UPGRADE ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN IN THE MESSAGE BASE
  31.      ON THE BBS!!  Any such message orders will not be answered but
  32.      will be erased.  We are sorry if this seems like a harsh policy,
  33.      but time constraints make it impossible to handle the number of
  34.      messages generated by this upgrade.

  36.           Buffalo Creek Software makes updating as painless and
  37.      inexpensive as possible.  Listed below are the three (3)
  38.      different means to upgrade from SPITFIRE v3.2 to SPITFIRE v3.3.

  40.           1) In the event you should choose to download your licensed    
  41.              copy of SPITFIRE v3.3, your copy will be processed after    
  42.              all shipping orders have been processed.  When your         
  43.              licensed copy of SPITFIRE is ready for download, you will   
  44.              be notified by postcard and you will then have 15 days to   
  45.              make your download.   Please do not leave a message about   
  46.              downloading your copy of SPITFIRE v3.3 because answering    
  47.              those messages only slows the process down.   Your free     
  48.              copy of SPITFIRE v3.3 will only be compiled for download    
  49.              once for no charge. In the event you fail to make a     
  50.              backup and you lose your copy of SPITFIRE v3.3, fail to     
  51.              make the download in the allotted 15 day period, fail to    
  52.              properly perform the download or otherwise require a        
  53.              second compilation of SPITFIRE v3.3, there will be a        
  54.              $20.00 charge for recompiling your copy.

  56.           2) Buffalo Creek Software will mail you your licensed copy of  
  57.              SPITFIRE v3.3.  The shipping & handling fee is $10.00 for   
  58.              either 5 1/4" diskettes or for a 3 1/2" diskette.  If you   
  59.              are outside the North American continent, then the          
  60.              shipping & handling fee is $20.00.  If you fail to specify  
  61.              which size diskette(s) you require, we will ship            
  62.              your licensed copy of SPITFIRE v3.3 on 3.5 inch disks.

  64.           3) Buffalo Creek Software will mail you your licensed copy of  
  65.              SPITFIRE v3.3 with a new manual.  The shipping & handling   
  66.              fee is $20.00 for either 5 1/4" diskettes or for a 3 1/2"   
  67.              diskette.  If you are outside the North American            
  68.              continent, then the shipping and handling fee is $30.00.    
  69.              If you fail to specify which size diskette(s) you require,  
  70.              we will ship your licensed copy of SPITFIRE v3.3 on 3.5"  
  71.              disks.

  73.          These upgrade procedures do NOT apply to persons that are
  74.       not licensed to operate SPITFIRE v3.2 and/or persons who are not
  75.       operating SPITFIRE.  Further, to be eligible for these upgrade
  76.       procedures you must have your account paid to date with Buffalo
  77.       Creek Software.  In other words, if you registered SPITFIRE v3.1
  78.       but did not upgrade to v3.2, you are not entitled to the above
  79.       upgrade offer.  This policy was not implemented to make things
  80.       difficult but rather to simplify things for you as well as for
  81.       us here at Buffalo Creek Software.  It is much too difficult, if
  82.       not impossible, to update if versions have been skipped.  We
  83.       take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support
  84.       and promotion of SPITFIRE and other Buffalo Creek Software
  85.       products.  Our small company is growing rapidly and we credit
  86.       you for this growth.

  88.           Please accept this as a request for you to take the time to
  89.       make a note on the back side of the blue upgrade form to let us
  90.       know if you plan to attend the 1993 SPITFIRE Sysops Conference
  91.       to be held (TENTATIVELY) June 19, 20 & 21.  Further, since the
  92.       conference will be conducted in a workshop format, any
  93.       suggestions regarding content and/or speakers will be welcome at
  94.       this time.
